Intekel Automatización began its activity from November of 2013 under the figure of a moral company called “Intekel Tecnología de Automatización Industrial, S.A. de C.V.”, Since that time, the company has served clients in various sectors such as petrochemical, industrial, services and logistics, and has obtained public funding to develop new technology with funds from the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the National Institute of Entrepreneurs (INADEM) of the Mexican government.

In order to develop capacities in the areas of software, automation and business, the company has managed to sign agreements with research centers such as CIATEQ and universities such as Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco. In October 2015, the company had its first contract with a customer from the United States of America, which meant that the company would redesign its processes and adopt quality and continuous improvement systems.

Main Milestones

2017

With the promotion of PROMÉXICO, INTEKEL participated in Outsource2LAC 2017 (Latin American and Caribbean Forum of Outsourcing and Offshoring) in San José, Costa Rica. The Forum was organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Costa Rican Export Promotion Agency (PROCOMER).
The process of Transition in the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 to the ISO 9001:2015 version was started. In addition to this, the basis for the Environmental Management System for future certification in ISO 14001:2015 was developed.
Intekel was chosen by AMEXHI and SEDECOP as one of the leading companies in the IT Sector in the Meeting of Hydrocarbon Companies organized by the State of Veracruz-Llave to be suppliers to the winning companies of the oil rounds that will invest in the State.
The company developed software and mobile applications for the control, administration and traceability of the processes of companies in the Logistics sector. With these solutions, Intekel sets a new course of action to provide solutions to the needs of companies in this sector in fields such as Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Systems and Real Time Data Analytics.

2016

Intekel Automatización obtains a public fund for infrastructure of the Software area through the call 2.3 "Creation and strengthening of basic and high impact companies" of the National Institute of the Entrepreneur (INADEM)
Signing an agreement for academic, scientific, cultural, technological and mutual support with the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco (UJAT).
A commercial alliance is established with BLUESTAR México in order to incorporate technology
RFID to the monitoring and internet of things solutions that the company offers.
Design of key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the marketing, administration and operational processes.
Intekel is awarded with the Veracruz Distinction to Competitiveness by the Secretary of Economic and Port Development of the State of Veracruz-Llave (SEDECOP).
The company participated in the Multisectoral Business Roundtable "EXPO ALADI MEXICO 2016" in the city of Torreón, Coahuila, at the event we had business meetings with companies from Argentina, Peru, Chile, Honduras and Guatemala.
The first major software integration project of INTEKEL was developed with SAP HANA, starting a new business segment to offer solutions to medium and big companies.

2015

An agreement of academic connection with Tecnológico de Monterrey is signed to complement the capacities of both institutions in the areas of engineering and business.
An agreement of innovation and technology transfer is signed with CIATEQ (CONACYT Research Center), in order to expand capacities in areas such as product development, processes and services with high technology.
Intekel Automatización obtains ISO-9001: 2008 certification for software development and industrial automation activities.
Service contract signing with the American company ALTAS AMERICAS INC to develop and implement management software.
Registration of product brand INTEKEL FINANCER before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) and public registry of copyright of software INTEKEL FINANCER in the National Institute of Copyright (INDAUTOR).
Opening of new products and solutions for the automation sector focused on real-time data monitoring, design of numerical control machines, control of energy efficiency and operational software.
New business line is generated for QuickBooks Desktop and Online, with solutions in Mexico for electronic accounting, billing, travel expenses, package guides, accounts payable and payroll.
Implementation of methodologies for the execution and control of projects to optimize risk management, change control, time, budget and scope.

2014

Intekel Automatización obtains a public fund for the manufacture of prototypes of numerical control machines for manufacturing production processes through FINNOVA's announcement of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT).
Intekel Automatización formalizes the first agreement of connection with an academic institution, the agreement was signed with the Technological University of the Southeast of Veracruz.
Participation in the construction of the Veracruz Innovation Agenda, which was coordinated by the Secretariat of Economic and Port Development of the State of Veracruz (SEDECOP).
Co-coordination of a technological event called HACKATHON COATZA 2014, whose purpose was to gather 200 young people from the State of Veracruz in 24 hours to solve industrial problems through information technology.
